Ok, Friday started off as an epic day anyway as the class I work with went on a trip to the beach! We travelled to Joss Bay and it was actually LOADS of fun! I went a bit nuts, swimming a lot and giving kids rides on my back as I swam etc. It was a fun day! Unfortunately, my suncream was locked in the coach and I got quite badly sunburnt :-\

Straight after we got back, I dashed off and took several methods of transport to get to Manchester for *Leadmill's birthday celebrations! I wasn't as late as I thought i was going to be (we were an hour late getting back from the trip!) and met them all at the Hard Rock Cafe. It was great seeing *Leadmill, *Efia, *Aliasdotcom, *wings-of-crimson and *death-may-die again and we had an awesome meal before going to an all-night rock club. On the way we got on the Manchester Eye for three rotations, especially awesome was that *wings-of-crimson and *death-may-die were thought to be under 18, so they, myself and *Efia managed to get on with a family ticket, saving a bunch of money!

The rock club was pretty good, but due to them having a strange DJ, we ended up disliking much of the music. I wussed out at 2am, as did most of those mentioned above, due to it being a long day. The next day we went to Weatherspoons for a good lunch and then parted ways.

One of the reasons I had to head back was that it was also *Z-of-Spades' birthday! My phone ran out of battery on the way there so I was panicking as I had no idea where to go after getting off the bus but I managed it somehow LOL It was designed to be a formal cosplay dinner and this was somewhat new to me. I ended up choosing Angeal Hewley and went in a black suit, black shirt and black tie LOL *RandomRper had prepared an amazing meal for the formal dinner and the place was fantastic! There were glasses on the table, each painted up to be a souvenir with our names on them. The whole thing was amazing! But, us being us, it wasn't long until the drinking games began LOL I think it was called "Kings" and had loads of rules but was completely awesome! I loved it!

Thank you to all the fantastic people I got to see again including; *Z-of-Spades, *RandomRper, ~Ladywhitetiger, ~Skyla-dream, ~Popsimgirl ~DNKyriaki and *TurkFox. I know that Kyri has a DA, but I'm not sure what it is so I will update when someone tells me LOL

At any rate, it was an awesome night and we almost didn't go to bed at all LOL Myself, ~Ladywhitetiger, ~Skyla-dream and ~Popsimgirl stayed up in the games room until around 8am, then we all seemed to simultaneously fall asleep until about half nine LOL Was fun! Two pieces of toast and some tidying/packing later and we all had to depart. Some of the best times I've had have been in that house, so thank you guys *hugs*

WE HAVE NOW RECEIVED TWO ENTRIES WITH ANOTHER TWO IN PROGRESS!

Ok, for the first competition (there might be more, we shall see!) we would like something relatively simple. Read through the first NINE Chapters (more might go up before the end of this competition, and if you wish to use them, you can, but we'll start at the first nine) and choose your favourite scene of the novel thus far.

Once you have done that, recreate that scene in art form! For this contest, we require that you NOT submit anything text-based but rather arty. One of our future competitions will include text-based entries. For now, purely art and I'll leave that interpretation open as I'm quite interested in seeing what people come up with! If you wish to embellish a scene, I am allowing some artistic discretion as I'm interested to see how artists will interpret Steampunk as well as Flight of the Valkyrie!

The winner will receive a Subscription. Depending on the amount of entrants, the length of the subscription will change. (eg. if there are only a few entrants, it will be the shortest subscription but the more, the better I think)

RULE 1 - Entries must be submitted to your own username and a note must be sent to me with a link to that submission, clearly stating in the title of the note what it is for.

RULE 2 - The closing date for this contest will be midnight on the 31st of July. Anything received after this time cannot be considered for this contest!

RULE 3 - In the "Artist's Description" of your submissions, please state which scene it is, which chapter the scene is from and preferrably state the contest you have done it for.

RULE 4 - No-where are you to claim the characters themselves as your own. This has happened before to me elsewhere and it is NOT cool. The characters belong to myself and the person who created them.

RULE 5 - Enjoy it! ^_^ I really want people to go nuts with this one as I know SO many talented artists and I can't wait the different things that you'll manage to come up with! Remember, part of the overall theme is "Steampunk" so if you wish to embellish, go for it!
